Didsbury is a famous enclave of artists and writers who contribute much to the colour of Manchester. Escape Productions have arrived from Leeds to shed their own particular light on experimental theatre. The whole writing and production team have moved to Didsbury in order to work with the likes of Green Room and research and develop their next production.

Having all graduated from the same Drama class at Lancaster University, they share a common vision of entertaining their audiences and bringing their own particular brand of theater to a wider audience.

Now that Escape have settled into South Manchester they are currently researching their next as of yet untitled production. As well as developing the next show case Escape are looking at ways to bring this type of theatre to a wider and younger audience. They believe passionately that experimental theatre has a lot to offer kids who may feel intimidated by long scripts and strict narrative direction. Experimental theatre is a perfect medium to introduce children into the theatrical world. This type of showcase uses no expensive sets. It grows and develops within the confines of the space provided and these factors make it perfect for the budget conscious school governor or the Head teacher of an over crowded school.

Both goals of showcasing their talents and developing others are large undertakings that have the troupe excited about the future. Manchester has always nurtured and developed talent and with the enthusiasm and application already shown by this quartet then expect the unexpected.
