We're just about to launch our exclusive Sanctuary card. The card costs £2.00, £1.00 of which will be donated to Francis House. If you mention "Didsbury Life" you'll be given a complimentary card - but you may still like to make a donation. The card will entitle the holder to 20% off food Monday - Friday, two cocktails for £7.50, two champagne cocktails for £9.00, two bottles of Becks or VK for £5.00, Cask Ale for £2.20 and Hardy's Riddle by the bottle for £7.00. Sanctuary cards can be purchased from the bar.

A Little Bit About The Sanctuary...

For those of you who may not know who we are or are wondering where we are, we used to be The Varsity on Wilmslow Road, but have now spruced ourselves up and are looking pretty damn fine as The Sanctuary Bar.

The Sanctuary in Didsbury Village, offers just that - a sanctuary. We are a contemporary bar lounge offering the most comfortable and relaxing environment to chill out in. During the week relax either with friends or work colleagues, or when it comes to the weekend evenings, join us as we become a very trendy and funky venue for partying with friends. The lights are dimmed, the candles are lit, champagne sits ready on ice and the cocktails are ready to flow, while the music just gets even better, with our in house DJs Haddi and Scott.

We are open every day from 11am, serving a wide range of meals, snacks and puddings, as well as fantastic coffee at a great price – and even served with a very tasty little biscuit – just to add to temptation! We pride ourselves on our service and attention to detail and are confident this is always evident in our friendly team of staff that are happy to serve you every day.

Our menu covers everything from hearty lunches and evening meals, to light snacks, sandwiches, very popular melts and freshly made jacket potatoes. We also serve what can only be described as THE BEST SAUSAGES AROUND supplied to us by the fantastic local butchers Axon’s on Didsbury High Street.

Soon, we will be updating our menu again, as we strive to always offer the best food and keep things fresh and interesting for our loyal customers. So - watch this space for the latest news.

Dining at The Sanctuary, Didsbury

On Sundays we have a special Sunday Roast menu served from 9am to 9pm, and always offer a selection of roasts that quite honestly will fill you up till the next Sunday!

Our outdoor seating area is just the place to sit and watch the world go by. However, if it’s a bit chilly we have comfy sofas, booths and chill out areas for those very important coffee gossips and evening catch ups with friends over a very well priced bottle Hardy’s at £7.

The manager at the Sanctuary is dedicated to serving the best drinks and a great quality range of products. We offer a growing selection of great cocktails made to perfection by our trained staff, and also offer a top selection of premium lagers, British bottled beers and fruity ciders to tempt all.

The Sanctuary Support Didsbury Good Neighbours

Didsbury Good Neighbours are having an open day on the following dates in order to build support and recruit volunteers to help with their Didsbury Good Neighbours scheme. They are looking for people who have any spare time to offer and would be willing to offer their skills and life experiences with the local community.

If you would like to support them please feel free to drop in one of the following open days: Saturday 27th Mar, Sat 3rd, Sat 10th and Sat 17th April.
