Elocution is another skill which I teach. Some people require elocution so that they can improve their pronunciation in a dramatic way. I have had considerable success in supporting students to practice the sounds they find most challenging and overcome their pronunciation difficulties.

In the English language, for example, there are a number of words which are not pronounced as they are written which can be difficult for students to pronounce accurately. With my method of showing them how to understand pronunciation by providing easy-to-understand pronunciation symbols, they soon learn how to pronounce difficult words and develop a firmer grasp of pronunciation in general.
