About Matt Brereton-Patel

Matt joined 3D Personal Training in 2007 from a professional career in the pharmaceutical clinical research and development arena, notably in breast cancer, prostate cancer, respiratory diseases and obesity.

He is a specialist in delivering modern health management, having previously worked with a host of industry professionals to deliver innovative treatments to patients.

He has established an in depth knowledge of the mechanisms of the human body, the benefits, limitations and adverse effects of pharmaceutical products, and the important role positive health, fitness and nutrition plays in the prevention and management of chronic illness.

Matt also has a huge passion for health, fitness and the outdoors, conquering the Annapurna Circuit & the Annapurna Sanctuary as well as the Langtang routes in the Nepali Himalaya, running the 2007 London Marathon and several half marathons as well as loving time spent in the gym.

He is also responsible for writing all of 3D Personal Training's many newsletters and articles, something that suits his passion for research and interpreting the latest clinical trial data.

After spending quite a bit of his late 20’s in India and Nepal amongst other places, Matt is also a student of Hinduism, Buddhism, meditation and yoga.

Matt is NASM Certified Personal Trainer qualified – one of the most respected and recognised qualifications in the industry and holds diploma qualifications in Nutritional Therapy, Anatomy & Physiology, Raynor Massage. He has completed Gary Gray's 'Chain Reaction Transformation' course, is a PADI Advanced open water diver, as well as holding an enhanced CRB check.
