Claire Jones, of Claire Louise Mobile Beauty Therapy, takes salon-quality beauty treatments into her client’s homes. Didsbury-based Claire, who has over ten years’ experience in the beauty industry, agreed to visit me for a relaxing facial and to tell me more about her mobile beauty business.
Salon Standards, Home Comforts
As soon as Claire arrives at my home, it soon became clear that mobile beauty doesn’t mean scrimping on salon quality. In fact, Claire explains that she brings her own massage couch, towels and calming candles to every appointment because she believes “it’s important to create a salon atmosphere.” She certainly manages to achieve this; after I’ve climbed onto the couch and settled down under piles of fluffy towels, I almost forget that I’m in my own living room.

As my face is steamed and painted with an exfoliating masque, Claire gives me a relaxing neck massage and starts to tell me about her latest service - pamper parties. Pamper parties are bespoke beauty sessions for groups of four and more. At these parties, Claire brings a small team of beauty therapists to your home, so you and your friends can enjoy manicures, massages and a wide range of other treatments. According to Claire, pamper parties are ideal for hen nights, bridal parties or even just a girls’ night in.
Great Results
After an hour of pampering, Claire gives me advice on aftercare and then leaves me to enjoy her handiwork. Almost as soon as she leaves, I notice that my skin looks clearer and feels more hydrated than it has for a long time. In addition to this, the massage has left me feeling relaxed and stress-free, which is quite a feat for a Friday afternoon.
