It's absolutely no wonder that Rhubarb Restaurant is literally packed to the rafters every evening - and we see it as we're across the road - with their current set menu...

Dine at Rhubarb Monday 5.00pm - 9.30pm, Tuesday - Thursday 5.00pm - 7.30pm, Friday - Saturday 5.00pm - 6.30pm and Sunday 5.00pm - 9.30pm and you can enjoy two courses for £14.95 or three courses for £17.95.

Tomato soup with basil & virgin olive oil
Whipped local goat's cheese with cider caramel, celery & home-dried tomatoes
Lancashire chicken liver parfait with golden whisky raisins and sourdough toast
Smoked mackerel brandade with pickled cherry and sourdough toast

MAIN COURSES

Roasted local chicken breast with white bean mash, basil and sun dried tomatoes
Parmesan and leek polenta with braised spring vegetables and creme fraiche
10 oz rump steak with garlic and parsley butter and triple cooked chips £3 supplement
Grilled sea bass fillet with fennel, new potatoes, thyme and tomatoes

DESSERTS

Lemon polenta cake with marscapone and pecans
A selection of homemade icecreams and sorbets
Vanilla pannacotta and all things cherry
