Folk Cafe Bar - Westfest Didsbury September 09

Folk Cafe Bar, on Burton Road, is a driving force behind the first West Didsbury festival - now known as WestFest. This festival, to be held 5/6 September, is an opportunity for the local independent businesses to showcase themselves and for the vibrant spirit of independence in West Didsbury to be celebrated.

Known as a very eclectic place to dine and drink, Folk Cafe Bar will be pulling out all the stops over the festival weekend. Highlights will include world class international superstar DJs manning the decks, Ernie's Rhythm Section playing on the terrace (check out the Folk video to hear a sample of the band), a barbeque with burlesque hostesses - and the staff of Folk attired a la "The Dukes of Hazzard". The day will be filmed and uploaded soon after so that everyone who missed out will make next year's festival a date in the diary.
