The Albert is planning a very packed December - more events to be added, so keep checking back...
We must be doing something right because both our Christmas Wreath workshop and out brilliant Martin Stephenson gig are completely SOLD OUT. Don’t worry, there’s room at other events.
Friday 4th December
Another Albert quiz - this time fun, charity and supporting a local badminton club which has no premises of its own. More information soon.
Sunday 6th December
Returning after their successful Didsbury Arts Festival appearance, Jazzworks will be performing from 8.30pm onwards, as part of XmasWestFest. Tickets £3.
Monday 7th December
Jazz OD at the Albert. Absolutely great music, as always. £3 Visitors, £2 Members, £1 concessions 8.30pm.
Sunday 13th December
The Albert Children’s Christmas Party. Santa, elves, games, decorations and smiling committee members with lit-up reindeer headbands. A frenzy of festivity for which we will be selling tickets very soon.
Friday 18th December
Pressure Drop – the dance experience for those of you who don’t get to the town clubs anymore. Now you can have just as good a time near home at a fraction of the price! Just the thing to follow your office/ school Christmas after-work session. Members £2/ visitors £3. 9.00pm, club open from 6.00pm.
Saturday 19th December
They were the Salford Sheiks, now they’re the Hot Shots. This is their Christmas Spectacular – you can watch the plans develop day-to-day on http://www.thehotshots.co.uk/ What a surprise to see snooker ace and ticket creator Dave Garson has joined them – it should be an unholy pairing with him and Jolly Roger!

We’re planning a brilliant New year’s Eve bash. Canapes and champagne 9.00pm – 10.00pm then p-a-a-r-t-y. Dave’s leading the conga, Greg’s providing the music, Dawn’s splashing the champagne, I’m waiting outside with a piece of coal – everyone has a part to play, including you! Probably £7.50 members, £10 guests – tickets on sale from Dec 1st
