Celebrate Bonfire Night in West Didsbury...EVENT OVER

On Friday 5th November, Cavendish PTA is proud to present The 'X-Factor' Fireworks and Bonfire display - an evening that they hope will start your weekend with a bang...

Since the inaugural event in 2008, Cavendish Bonfire displays have gone from strength to strength, so for 2010 the PTA would like to extend the invitation to a wider audience. This year, all members of the community are invited to attend the safe and child-friendly event, on Bonfire Night itself, on the school playing fields.

Pupils from the school have judged the competition in the style of the X-Factor and have selected the finalists, including "Whopper Rockets", "Cracking Cakes", "Chasing Rainbows" and "Waterfall Cascades". There will be 40% more fireworks than last year, including a Lantern Display for the littler guests.

The fun commences at 6.00pm with the lighting on the bonfire, followed by the lantern Display at 6.30pm and then the Firework Finale. Tuck, homemade toffee apples and refreshments, will be avialable along with hot food, courtesy of Greens Restaurant in West Didsbury. Weather permitting, there will also hopefully be a floodlit bouncy castle.

Come along and help your local community school raise funds after the recent flooding of the library.

All of the above is available for a donation of just £2.00 per adult, with all accompanied children being allowed free entry.

The PTA request that you do not bring sparklers as there will be lots of children at this event and safety is a priority. As this is a child friendly, Cavendish PTA reserves the right to refuse admission and all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
