SPENCER JACOBS

Spencer Jacobs arrived in Manchester via London and Wales in 1997. His love affair with Didsbury began on a sunny, August, Saturday morning outside the Clock Tower with his first taste of the infamous 'Didsbury Dozen'. A bar manager by trade, Spencer has run various establishments throughout the city centre and Castlefield areas. Throughout his time here Spencer has lived in South Manchester, finally finding his ideal home on Central Road, West Didsbury (or Withington depending on who you believe, the post office or the estate agents!).

A career change in 2003 saw him leave his chosen profession for a new life behind a desk for British Gas. Since then his love of writing has been rekindled. Spencer's interest in the wide- ranging activities that can be found in Didsbury will be put to good use in the coming months.

A self confessed fidget, Spencer cannot sit idly for long and if there is a new club, a new band, a new play or simply something a little out of the ordinary to do then he will be there to cover it.
