United Utilities Community Fund
Over the next five years United Utilities will be investing over £3.5 billion improving their water and wastewater assets and providing a better service to their customers.
Appreciating unfortunate inevitable disruption, United Utilities have been looking at ways to fund projects in areas which are being disrupted by their investment work. With work well underway on Darley Avenue in West Didsbury and a new project due to start on West Didsbury's vibrant Burton Road in the New Year, they feel this is an ideal opportunity to introduce this scheme to the Didsbury community.
A United Utilities spokesperson said, "The United Utilities Community Fund enables us to give something back to the area and communities where we are working."
Community groups can apply for grants of up to £500 per application. The fund is open to community, self-help/voluntary groups or local charities.

So, what's all this work for?
