We're all Jazzed Up in Didsbury

Maybe it's the influence of the Manchester Jazz Festival that's going on this week, but we're suddenly finding Jazz springing up all around us in Didsbury. Saturday 31st July sees the closing night of the Manchester Jazz Festival, but down here in Didsbury it'll still be going on.

Sunday 1st August sees the inaugral Jazz Night at The Sanctuary Bar in Didsbury village, with performances by Sara Dowling (vocalist) and Andy Kingslow (pianist), both of whom have appeared at the Manchester Jazz Festival. Beginning at 6.30pm, this will be the first in many successful Sunday Night Jazz sessions. And - if you dine with friends [4 or more], The Sanctuary will give you a complimentary bottle of wine.

Monday 2nd August sees the Jazz OD Night at The Albert Club, on Old Lansdowne Road, West Didsbury, featuring Alexandra Lennon [vocals], David Chamarett [guitar], Tim France [saxaphone] James Adolfo [bass] and Tim Franks [drums]. Entry £2 members, £3 visitors from 8.30pm.
