If you follow Didsbury Life, you'll know how much we love Thyme Out Delicatessen on Nell Lane. It ticks all of our boxes - fantastic quality, scrummy food, stylish, independent. And, now one more...

Thyme Out is all set to become a City Farm in the suburbs. Ben has the hens and the chickens - [don't forget that you can name the chick - http://tinyurl.com/2vq6jyn] - but now he's going one step further and embracing the Good Life!

For a nominal fee, you can become a Tom [or Barbara] and have your very own little piece of land - right here in West Didsbury. Ben has six plots which he'd like to offer to serious fruit/vegetable/herb growers. Your very own allotment!

However, there are some catches. You do have to be serious and committed to the "growing your own" cause. You have to be prepared to ensure that your plot always looks its best. You have to understand that your "allotment" will be part of a business that has to operate daily - so, there will be times when it's not appropriate to be digging up your spuds!

There are six potential plots - one has definitely gone (to us!) and a number are reserved. More details about this reservation soon, but when it can be revealed, it's another example of a local community working brilliantly together!
