Didsbury Good Neighbours Open Days
Didsbury Good Neighbours is a voluntary scheme formed in October 2009 to meet the needs of the Didsbury community who are isolated or excluded through ill health or mobility issues from day to day community life.
The group knows that there are isolated and excluded people in the Didsbury community who would love a home visit for a chat and a cup of tea. Their aim is to recruit, train and support volunteers to deliver a unique befriending service to assist and support local people to maintain their independence in their own homes for as long as is possible. More importantly, where The Didsbury Good Neighbours Group is not able to help directly through the scheme they will endeavour to put people in touch with other care networks or directly with someone who can.
Four Open Days are being held throughout March & April to spread the word about The Didsbury Good Neighbours Group. These are drop in sessions and each session will run from 11.30am - 1.30pm, at the following Didsbury venues:
Saturday 27th March at Didsbury Cricket Club, Wilmslow Road, Didsbury
