A Painting for Haiti

A Painting for Haiti

Even though the earthquake in Haiti happened nearly 2 months ago, it's estimated it will take years to rebuild the shattered country. With Wendy J Levy Art Gallery, we decided to do a little bit to help...

The artist Lisa De Prudhoe is a regular exhibitor at the Didsbury based gallery and she felt that she'd like to do something to help the relief effort. Consequently, she has donated a painting, entitled ‘Space’s Vast Society’, which is acrylic on canvas, measuring 60” x 48”, with a current value of £4,000.

The canvas, which is currently on display in the Didsbury Life office, is being raffled, with the intention of raising £20,000, which will go towards the UNICEF relief fund. ALL the money raised will be sent to the charity – Lisa De Prudhoe is donating the canvas and will not be taking any money from that which is raised, nor will anyone else. The Wendy J Levy Gallery will pay for the painting to be delivered to the lucky winner of the raffle wherever they happen to be in the world.

Raffle tickets are £5 each and can be bought from Didsbury Life or The Wendy J Levy Gallery. Alternatively, donations can be made online. All details are on our dedicated website - www.apaintingforhaiti.com - see link to the right.

The raffle will run until the beginning of May - updates will be uploaded to Didsbury Life and to the main website. Please follow us on Twitter too - http://twitter.com/aPainting4Haiti.

Do something good - buy a raffle ticket and possibly help to change a life...
