Nell Lane, West Didsbury now open again...

After two and a half months of traffic re-routed around West Didsbury, Nell Lane is now finally re-open, once again connecting Burton Road to Princess Parkway.

Closed on Tuesday 8th December, after two gas explosions at the historic Didsbury Gate development, the through road now reveals the amazing restoration work that has gone on - and still continues - around the clock, to bring the building back to its former glory.

The re-opening of the road should be welcome news for West Didsbury commuters who need to access Princess Parkway, as well as releasing a little of the congestion that has been evident during morning and evening rush hours along Burton Road - although all the better for passing motorists to discover the hidden delights of independent West Didsbury...
