MONDAY 26th OCTOBER - the quiz for the whiz quizzers. 8.00pm start. £2 entry for members, £3 for visitors. Entertaining - but in a hard way!
FRIDAY 30th OCTOBER Hallowe’en Party!
This will be a two-stage extravaganza, beginning for the under-10s at 6.30pm with games, sweeties, food, lucky bags and a fancy dress competition until 8.30pm.
Then, with just half an hour to brush down our mind-boggling decorations, the adult affair will begin at 9.00pm. Those who arrive promptly will be able to take part in a couple of adult dodgy Hallowe’en japes, orchestrated by Dawn. The music will rock and there’ll be prizes for the best fancy dress. The only cost will be the delicious grub.
MONDAY 2nd NOVEMBER - Jazz Night with Alexandra Lennon and Jazz OD. An evening of great music, starting from 8.30pm. Members £2 Visitors £3.
FRIDAY 6th NOVEMBER We have decided, in the light of Health and Safety, and after a lot of soul searching, that fireworks are best left to the professionals! Sorry to disappoint but you won't miss out - Cavendish Road Primary School is having a fireworks night with all the trimmings on Friday Nov 6th 5.30pm – 7.30pm, firework show starting at 6.30pm. £2 adults, with accompanied children free.
SUNDAY 8th NOVEMBER - Poker Night. £5 admission fee with registration at 7.30pm. Last time resulted in some tension and drama as the games hotted up – who knows what’s in store this time!
THURSDAY 26th NOVEMBER Christmas Wreath Making
Want to make a Christmas wreath that’s better than everyone else’s? We’ve got an expert giving a workshop in the club on Thursday Nov 26th at 7.30pm. For £15 you get all the materials and bits you need to make an exclusive decoration for your front door or a gorgeous present for someone else’s. Places are limited so reserve yours by paying in advance at the bar.
