Bop Local - January 2012

Bop Local - January 2012

The concept behind Bop Local is simple - it is essentially ‘a local night for local people’. The idea is to start early, have lots of fun and a darn good time, without spending wads of cash on drinks and taxis in and out of town plus & the bar is pretty cheap too!

After a fantastic end to the year with our Not Quite New Year’s Eve Bop Local, featuring a host of DJs, we’re back to our regular monthly stints at Chorlton Irish Club.

Throughout 2012 the Bop Locals at the Chorlton Irish Club will be the last Sat of every month, which means our first one of the year will be on Saturday 28th January.

Phil Beckett's guest DJ for the night will be ex-Smiths’ drummer and BBC 6 Music presenter, Mike Joyce. Mike has been guest DJ at Bop Local in Didsbury, Heaton Moor and Ramsbottom, but he hasn't been seen in Chorlton for well over a year, so they thought it was about time to ask him back.

Tickets are £5 & are now on sale here via http://boplocal.com or you can buy them at On The Corner, Beech Road, Chorlton (where you can listen to music, buy some vinyl & drink a smoothie)! The Not Quite New Year’s Eve Bop Local sold out, so don’t be leaving it too late, now!

Bop Local starts at8.30pm & finishes at 1.00am - so, get your babysitter booked!
