UU Public Exhibition Wed 14th Dec

As you may (or may not) be aware, United Utilities will be starting some major sewer repair works on Burton Rd, West Didsbury from the beginning of January 2012 which are expected to last up to 12 weeks.

The works were initially scheduled for September 2011, but it was decided that it would be better for businesses, if the work could be carried out post Christmas. Burton Road will be closed from The Metropolitan to approximately Steranko, on the corner of Vicker Grove. Diversions will be in place for traffic, but footpaths will remain open. PLEASE NOTE THAT DURING THE TIME OF THESE WORKS ALL BUSINESSES OPERATING ALONG THIS STRETCH OF BURTON ROAD WILL BE OPEN FOR BUSINESS AS NORMAL.

This work is essential, and United Utilities are aware that people will have concerns about the extent of it and the partial closure of the road. As a result, they will be holding a public exhibition in The Metropolitan carpark on WEDNESDAY 14th DECEMBER from 3.00pm - 7.00pm. United Utilities representatives will be on hand to answer questions and address any concerns.
