Chorlton Beer Festival 10-11 July 2009

Chorlton Beer Festival 10-11 July 2009

The 5th Annual Chorlton Beer Festival takes place at St. Clements Church on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th July, serving rare festival favourites, new for 2009 and a wide selection of Belgian beers throughout the weekend.

We hope you enjoy our varied menu of fine real ales and ciders, which have been selected to represent the very best of traditional brewing. Live music, courtesy of the aptly named Carl Beer, offers both a sing-along element and a chance for would be crooners to take the mike. We have however, also tried to provide space and peace, for those who simply wish to sup, enjoy and discuss the good beer.

St Clement’s offers a unique and beautiful setting for the Festival - a Grade 2 listed building, at the heart of the Chorlton community. The clergy and congregation are delighted to share this space in which we worship, pray, provide for the various needs of the community, and enjoy one another’s company. A lot goes on at St Clement’s, and the ZestQuest Beerfest is just one of the many ways we engage with the local community.

The Festival is intended to be a celebration of local and international real ales, to give both the beer afficiandos and those new to the delights of real ale, the opportunity to discover something new. The majority of our beers have been brewed locally, giving a delicious insight into the traditional brewers, that have a long and proud history in the North West.

Don’t miss the opportunity to try some exclusive ales that are only available to St Clement’s. The Festival would not have been possible without the tremendous support of the members of CAMRA (Trafford and Hulme Branch), and their encyclopaedic source of information on all things ale-related and beyond! They have answered our many questions and provided much appreciated advice from the outset. A big thank you to all of them for their energy, patience and involvement.

And finally thank you to all our guests this weekend. It is your support that will make the Festival a success, and we hope we have provided all you need to enjoy your time with us. If you have any questions, members of the Festival staff will be on hand to help. Enjoy!
