Folk Lore Open Mic at Silver Apples, West Didsbury

You could say that the WestFest 2010 activities kick off on Thursday 2nd September with the latest Open Mic night at Silver Apples on Burton Road, West Didsbury...

Starting at 7.30pm, Silver Apples welcomes Robin Mukherjee and Mr Andrew 'Blind Boy' Butler, as well as open mic slots throughout the evening. Entry as always if free, and a fabulous night of live music is guaranteed.

Robin Mukherjee is singer/songwriter currently living in Manchester, UK. He has been known for his delicate finger picking and melodic approach to songwriting. His unique approach has led to him collaborating with many artists and bands. Through the years he has appeared onstage with reputable acts such as Sam Beer and Martha Tilston, been a member of folk/rock band 'The McCineaney Clan', and been a seminal influence in the blues-folk acoustic trio 'Havana Pepper'
