Blue Bell Mini Fund Raise for Francis House
Matthew Mazurek, MINI Manager at Blue Bell Wilmslow, has presented representatives from Francis House Children’s Hospice with a cheque for £500 following a fundraising campaign for the local charity.
Based in Didsbury, Francis House provides essential support for families and their children, who have been diagnosed as having life threatening or life limiting conditions. The hospice provides a home from home, where families can receive professional care, support and friendship, free of charge and regardless of faith or cultural background.
Blue Bell MINI kicked off their fundraising campaign for the charity at a recent MINI celebration weekend, to launch the dealership’s London 2012 Olympic countdown and to raise money for a local charity as selected by customers and local residents. The programme has been running for three months, with all visitors to the showroom receiving a charity token to show their support for a local cause of their choice.
It has now been announced that Francis House received an overwhelming majority of the votes and Fundraising Officer, Kate Puc, visited the showroom to accept the donation for the local hospice.
Kate Puc, Fundraising Officer for Francis House Children’s Hospice, commented: “We are extremely grateful for this kind donation from the staff and customers at Blue Bell MINI. The hospice provides vital support for local families and their children, but we rely on the generous fundraising efforts of local establishments like the Blue Bell Group to enable us to continue with our work.”
